South Korea Air Force Shoots Down 44 Swarm Drones in First Live-Fire Interception Drill on June 23

According to Yonhapnews, South Korea's Air Force Missile Defense Command conducted its first live-fire swarm drone interception drill on June 23 in the Yellow Sea training range. The exercise tested defenses against 50 low-altitude attacking drones approaching from approximately 1 kilometer away.

Eight Vulcan cannons deployed in coordinated "fire net" barrages, firing 20mm rounds that shot down 44 drones. The remaining six were neutralized through close-range engagement using shotguns and portable laser systems.
