South Korea's Major Banks Expand FX Trading Teams Ahead of July 6 Near-24-Hour Won Trading Launch

According to Odaily, South Korea's major banks are expanding their foreign exchange trading teams in Seoul and London ahead of the July 6 launch of near-24-hour won trading. Woori Bank has deployed 8 additional employees to its London office covering foreign exchange, derivatives, and bond trading roles. Hana Bank has added traders in Seoul and implemented a three-shift rotation system to provide round-the-clock coverage. Shinhan Bank and KB Kookmin Bank have also expanded their teams and upgraded systems to support the new trading regime.
