According to the presidential office Cheong Wa Dae, President Lee Jae-myung convened the 2026 National Finance Strategy Conference on July 13 to discuss fiscal directions for the 2027 budget and government investment priorities. The meeting centered on three mega projects including AI data centers, semiconductor industry development, and energy infrastructure expansion. Approximately 130 participants attended, including Prime Minister Han Sung-sook and cabinet ministers across all departments. The government plans to incorporate outcomes into next year's budget and medium-term fiscal plan to secure future growth drivers.
