According to the Presidential Office, President Lee Jae-myung will embark on a four-day, five-night diplomatic tour from July 7 to 11, attending the NATO summit in Turkey and making a state visit to Mongolia. South Korea was invited as an Indo-Pacific Partner nation alongside Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. During the NATO Defense Industry Forum, President Lee will deliver a keynote speech on strengthening industrial foundations and showcase South Korea's defense capabilities to allied nations and defense companies.
From July 9 to 11, President Lee will conduct a state visit to Mongolia, the first by a South Korean president in 15 years. The visit aims to strengthen cooperation on critical minerals, supply chain diversification, food security, and other strategic areas. President Lee will attend the opening ceremony of the Naadam Festival as a guest of honor, marking the first time a South Korean leader has received such an invitation.
