SpaceX Stock Falls to $117 Below IPO Price; ARK CEO Predicts Most Important Company Ever

SPCX-1.62%

According to ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood, SpaceX stock recently traded down 5% near $117, falling below its $135 IPO price and marking its lowest level since going public. The decline comes as the company expands deeper into AI infrastructure.

Despite the pullback, ARK Invest has allocated about $80 million to SpaceX. Wood said SpaceX is building beyond a space launch company, pointing to its Starlink satellite network controlling about 75% of satellites currently in orbit, plus planned large-scale data center expansion in Texas. The company has signed AI computing deals with Anthropic and Google, with Wood calling the combination of launches, satellites, communications, and AI computing "the most important company in history."
