Spain's CNMV Confirms MiCA Transition Period Won't Extend; Unlicensed Crypto Platforms Must Exit by July 1

According to Foresight News, Spain's National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) confirmed that the European Union's MiCA regulatory transition period will not be extended, and unlicensed crypto platforms must cease operations by July 1, 2026. Platforms without Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) licenses are restricted to asset transfers and account closures only, with strict compliance requirements for customer fund migration. CNMV stated it will enforce the rule in alignment with the EU regulatory framework.
