Taiwan's Exports Rise 40.3% to US$74.83B in June Amid AI Boom

According to Taiwan's Ministry of Finance, Taiwan's exports rose 40.3% year-on-year to US$74.83 billion in June, extending export growth to 32 consecutive months. Information, communications, and audio-video products shipments surged 72.3% to US$33.92 billion, while electronic component exports, primarily semiconductors, climbed 32.8% to US$25.39 billion. Exports to the US increased 34.8% to US$23.28 billion, and shipments to Southeast Asian nations and Europe rose 47.1% and 48.4%, respectively. Taiwan's imports reached a record US$62.63 billion, leaving the island with a trade surplus of US$12.2 billion.
