Trump Claims Middle Eastern Allies Should Pay U.S. for Military Protection on July 13

According to Jin10, on July 13, U.S. President Trump claimed Middle Eastern allies should pay fees for American military protection. Trump named Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait, stating the U.S. is securing these nations and Israel while investing resources there. He argued it is appropriate for protected countries to share the costs. Trump also asserted the U.S. possesses abundant oil resources, stating America controls over half of global oil supplies when including Venezuelan reserves, therefore does not depend on Middle Eastern oil. He added U.S. actions in the region are primarily aimed at protecting allies.
