According to MetaversePost, the UAE launched the Middle East's first sovereign AI data center in Ras Al Khaimah on July 10, employing NVIDIA B200 GPUs to ensure all data remains under domestic jurisdiction. The facility, developed through a partnership between Innovation City and Siada (an enterprise under the IOPn group), allows companies to access compute capacity by the hour, reserve long-term allocations, or deploy fully managed environments with isolated, sovereign infrastructure. Early adopters include gaming studios, fintech platforms, and AI-native startups seeking to avoid data residency risks and regulatory friction.
