U.S. 20-Year Treasury Note Hits 5.163% Yield on July 22, Up 23.6 Basis Points

According to the U.S. Treasury Department, the 20-year Treasury note auction held on July 22 resulted in a yield of 5.163%, up 23.6 basis points from the previous month's 4.927%. The offering amount was $13 billion.

The bid-to-cover ratio fell to 2.64x from 2.75x the prior month, signaling weakening demand. Foreign investor participation declined to 69.1%, while dealers absorbed 14.7% of the offering, the highest since February.
