U.S. IPO Market Rebounds in 2026 With 50 Companies Raising $120B, Doubling Year-Over-Year

According to Goldman Sachs, about 50 U.S. companies completed IPOs in the first half of 2026, doubling year-over-year with cumulative fundraising of around $120 billion, approaching 2021's full-year record. Goldman Sachs Chief U.S. Equity Strategist Ben Snider stated the recovery reflects normal cyclical restoration, driven primarily by large-cap corporate listings and AI industry capital expenditure expansion. Comparatively, the average annual U.S. IPO count over the past 25 years was roughly 100, reaching over 250 in 2021 and nearly 400 during the 1999 dot-com bubble, indicating the current issuance level lacks extreme speculative characteristics.
