U.S. Military Conducts Seventh Consecutive Night of Strikes on Iran, Targeting Ports and Infrastructure on July 17

According to U.S. Central Command, the U.S. military launched strikes against Iran on July 17, marking the seventh consecutive night of military operations. The latest attacks targeted ports, bridges, and railway infrastructure in southern Iran, including facilities west of Chabahar Port and a shipping control tower, aimed at weakening Iran's military logistics and maritime capabilities.

Iran's state media reported at least eight deaths and 20 injuries from the strikes. Iranian authorities said the attacks also damaged power generation facilities, prompting the energy ministry to urge southern provinces to reduce electricity consumption. In response, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fired missiles and drones at U.S. military bases across Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, and Syria, marking the first direct attack on facilities in Syrian territory.
