Zama Releases TFHE-rs v1.7 Achieving 1080 Transactions Per Second in Privacy Transfers

According to Foresight News, Zama announced the release of TFHE-rs v1.7, its fully homomorphic encryption open-source library. In ERC-7984 privacy transfer benchmarks, the library achieved a throughput of 1,080 transactions per second on a single node with 8 NVIDIA H100 GPUs, representing a 2.7x improvement from the previous version's 400 TPS.

Latency remained stable at 50.9 milliseconds, and the performance milestone was reached over one year ahead of the previously published roadmap. Zama noted that the current performance bottleneck in privacy transfers is no longer cryptographic computation itself, but rather the underlying blockchain consensus and block production speed.
