LSK is the abbreviation and token of project lisk. Its goal is to create a DAPP (application software) ecosystem based on side chain technology, similar to Apple's App Store (application download store). Lisk project was separated from the crypto blockchain project in january2016, and the main network was launched in june2018. It is not clear whether lisk version 1.0 includes side chain technology. How lisk works is the same as bitstock, steem and EOS. Lisk uses dpos consensus algorithm. There are 101 representatives as block producers. Delegates are elected by blockchain voting. The number of votes allocated to each account is equal to the number of LSKs it owns. Block production takes turns, and 101 representatives produce one block per round. Lisk supports block output in 10 seconds, and each block will be rewarded with 4 LSKs. Block out in 10 seconds, which means that more than 12million LSK will be awarded to representatives within one year. The initial supply is 100million LSK, and the annual inflation rate is more than 12%. As we have seen in bitstocks, steem and EOS, the dpos consensus algorithm is a trade-off: the dpos algorithm is fast and scalable, but at the cost of decentralization. Lisk team lisk was founded by Max kordek and Olivier beddows. Max and Olivier are both from the crypto project. According to lisk's blog post, they left crypti and founded lisk in early 2016 after disagreeing with other members of the management team. Little is known about the history of Max and Olivier before crypto and lisk. Max is currently the president and CEO of lisk, and Olivier is the vice president and chief technology officer of lisk. In order to establish lisk, Max and Olivier jointly founded lightcurve GmbH, a blockchain consulting company, development studio and marketing agency.
