The Solana network has activated an upgrade to increase the block limit by 20%.
BlockBeats news, on July 24, according to @martypartymusic, the Solana network increased the block size by 20% yesterday based on the SIMD-0256 proposal. This upgrade raises the block limit from 50 million computation units (CUs) to 60 million CUs, allowing each block to accommodate more transactions, thereby enhancing the network throughput and overall performance, and users will noticeably feel the improvement in transaction speed.
