Trump's approval rating drops to 36%, hitting new low since return to White House

Gate News Report, March 25 — The latest poll by Reuters/Ipsos shows that President Trump’s approval rating has fallen to its lowest point since returning to the White House. The four-day poll, which concluded on Monday (March 24), indicates that only 36% of Americans approve of Trump’s performance in office, down from 40% in the previous week’s poll by the same organization.

Since the U.S.-Israel joint operation against Iran on February 28, gasoline prices have surged significantly, and Americans’ evaluations of Trump’s economic management and living costs have worsened markedly. Only 25% of respondents approve of Trump’s handling of living costs, a key promise of his 2024 presidential campaign.

Data shows that only 29% of Americans nationwide approve of Trump’s economic management, the lowest during his two terms as president and below any support rate Biden received in economic governance. Voters’ concerns about the economy, especially rising living costs, were a major factor in Biden’s defeat, while Trump has promised to create a prosperous economy during his campaign.
