Odaily Planet Daily News Arweave is releasing its 2.8 protocol upgrade, which introduces a new packaging format (Composite Packing) that improves network efficiency, scalability, and energy efficiency. The technical highlights of Arweave 2.8 include:

• Allows Miners to utilize slower storage devices while maintaining network performance, significantly dropping hardware requirements of Node operators;
• Further enhance the security of the network by implementing enhanced anti-ASIC measures;
• Optimize the Block chain synchronization process to reduce the time required to synchronize a complete Node.
