On January 17th, Jinshi Data News, the Korean Senior Public Officials Crime Investigation Department (referred to as the Public Investigation Office) has applied to the Korean court for the detention order of President Yin Xiyue. President Yin Xiyue, who was suspended from office in South Korea, was arrested in the morning of January 15th at the presidential residence in Hannandong and subsequently investigated by the Public Investigation Office. On January 16th, President Yin Xiyue’s side twice refused to attend the investigation and interrogation of the Public Investigation Office, and remained silent during the previous day’s investigation.
