Gate News 消息，3 月 18 日，美國聯邦儲備系統（美國央行）主席鮑威爾於 3 月 19 日表示，如果在其任期結束時仍未確認新任美聯儲主席，他將擔任臨時主席。鮑威爾同時表示，在司法部調查結束前無意離開委員會，但尚未決定若司法部調查結束後是否會留任。
