Aave Founder Stani Accepts 30% Stablecoin Reserve Requirement If BoE Pays Market Rate

AAVE-4.17%
According to ChainCatcher, Aave founder Stani said on June 23 that he could accept the Bank of England (BoE) requirement for systemic stablecoins to hold 30% of base assets at the central bank, provided the BoE pays market interest rates on these reserve deposits. The condition addresses the opportunity cost of funds locked in the central bank and follows the BoE's proposal to require partial stablecoin reserves be held with the central bank to reduce systemic risk.
