Australia's MQ-28 Ghost Bat Participates in First Multinational Exercise This Week

According to U.S. military media TheWarZone, Australia's MQ-28 Ghost Bat unmanned combat aircraft participated for the first time this week in the Valiant Shield 26 multinational military exercise, spanning Japan, Guam, Hawaii, and Australia. The U.S. Air Force released photos on June 24 taken on June 21 showing the Ghost Bat flying alongside manned fighter jets to test human-machine collaboration capabilities. The U.S. Air Force stated it will analyze how the drone can expand the operational range, situational awareness, and survivability of manned fighter jets in contested environments.
