Base Suffers Second Mainnet Block Production Halt in Two Days

According to Base's status page, the blockchain experienced a second block production halt on Friday (June 26), less than 24 hours after a similar chain halt on Thursday. The Friday outage was brief, with block production halted at 15:33 UTC and resuming by 16:11 UTC. Node operators were required to restart their Base Mainnet nodes to resume syncing. The Thursday halt disrupted the sequencer following block 47806542, interrupting withdrawals but posing no risk to user funds. Both incidents displayed similar symptoms, with the second occurrence arriving shortly after Thursday's Beryl hardfork implementation at 20:00 UTC.
