Berkshire Accelerates Q2 Share Repurchases, Barron's Estimates $5-11B

According to Barron's and Buffett's SEC filing submitted this week, Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B) accelerated share repurchases in Q2, a positive signal for shareholders. Barron's estimates the company may have repurchased between $5 billion and $11 billion of its own stock during the quarter. From April 14 to July 14, Berkshire bought back approximately $8 billion in shares, with most completed in Q2, based on the change in outstanding shares calculated from Buffett's holdings disclosure.
