British American Tobacco to Cut 9,000 Jobs by End of 2026 as Part of Cost Reduction Plan

According to an internal notice, British American Tobacco Plc is reducing its global workforce by approximately one-fifth by the end of 2026. The company will eliminate 5,500 positions and outsource another 3,500 roles as part of its cost reduction and operational simplification initiative.
