Buffett Stops Gates Foundation Donations, Redirects $6B to Family Charities After Epstein Connection

According to reports on July 14, Warren Buffett ended his financial support to the Gates Foundation, redirecting this year's charitable giving entirely to four family foundations. The 95-year-old Berkshire Hathaway chairman announced plans to donate approximately $6 billion in Berkshire stock (12 million Class B shares) to family-controlled charities, marking the end of a 20-year partnership with Bill Gates' foundation.

The shift follows the release of Epstein files in February revealing Gates' past connections to deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. According to Buffett's March interview with CNBC, he and Gates have not spoken since the documents became public. Gates has since acknowledged regret over his dealings with Epstein, which ended in 2014.
