Dutch Court Dismisses Halozyme's Ban on Keytruda Curcix Sales on July 23 as MSD's Patent Wins Mount

According to foreign media, the Dutch court in The Hague on July 23 rejected Halozyme Therapeutics' request for a temporary injunction to ban Keytruda Curcix sales in Denmark and Sweden. Keytruda Curcix is a product developed by U.S. Merck (MSD) using Alteogen's subcutaneous formulation technology, ALT-B4.

The rejection marks another victory for MSD in its escalating patent disputes with Halozyme. In May, the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board invalidated Halozyme's patent related to its subcutaneous formulation technology. Last month, the UK Patent Court canceled Halozyme's UK designation of European Patent 2797622 and ordered Halozyme to pay damages. Multiple patent lawsuits between MSD and Halozyme are ongoing across the United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany.
