According to Moody's Analytics Chief Economist Mark Zandi, the Federal Reserve is expected to hold interest rates unchanged on July 29th at 9:00 PM Turkish time, with markets pricing in a 66.3% probability of no change and a 33.7% probability of a 25 basis point rate increase. Following the decision announcement at 9:30 PM, new Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh will deliver remarks. Zandi noted that Warsh has adopted a more secretive communication style than his predecessor Jerome Powell, which may increase uncertainty in financial markets and volatility in bond yields.
