KEPCO Establishes Task Force to Ensure Power Supply for Honam Semiconductor Complex by 2030

According to South Korea's Ministry of Climate Energy and Environment, on July 8, Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) established a dedicated task force to ensure timely power supply to the Honam semiconductor industrial complex by 2030. The initiative will include new energy storage systems (ESS) and pumped-storage hydropower projects as part of the 12th Basic Electricity Supply and Demand Plan. KEPCO will accelerate construction of power transmission lines connecting the industrial complex to existing power grids through innovation in construction and procurement methods.
