Oman Opens Temporary Shipping Corridor Through Strait of Hormuz on June 24

According to CCTV, Oman coordinated with the International Maritime Organization on June 24 to open a temporary shipping corridor through the Strait of Hormuz for all vessels. The corridor operates under international law and the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, guaranteeing free passage without transit fees.

Vessels intending to use the corridor must coordinate in advance with the IMO. Navigation will follow coordinates published by the IMO and Omani authorities.
