Pakistan's FIA Establishes Dedicated Cryptocurrency Investigation Unit on July 22

According to BlockBeats, Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has established a dedicated cryptocurrency investigation unit under the National Command & Control Center on July 22 to combat financial crimes involving digital assets.

Muhammad Athar Waheed, head of FIA's Counter-Terrorism Department, said the unit will focus on investigating money laundering and terrorist financing using cryptocurrencies, and will coordinate with Pakistan's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA) on enforcement operations.
