According to Foresight News, privacy protocol project PLabs announced the launch of pERC20, a new privacy token standard on EVM built on Zcash Orchard protocol. The native token P20 operates under this standard, with balances and transfer details hidden on-chain. P20 serves three functions: ecosystem liquidity provision, fee settlement, and governance. ERC20 assets can enter the system via Shield mechanism and interoperate with P20, though P20 does not currently support Unshield conversion back to ERC20.

P20 has a total supply of 1 billion tokens, allocated solely through genesis airdrop and protocol incentives with no pre-mining or private sale. Initial airdrop circulation is capped at 8% of total supply, with protocol incentives comprising the majority. Default allocation is 80% to users and 20% to team and ecosystem funds, with staged halvings.
