According to Beating, in a latest interview OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said humanity has entered technological singularity, describing it as a concept he once discussed casually with colleagues a decade ago. Altman noted that while a clear "singularity moment" may not exist, the current stage is critical in shaping AI's trajectory.
Altman categorized AI products into three waves: chatbots (current), coding agents (emerging), and resident agents that work continuously like personal advisors or colleagues (coming soon). He projected that even with advanced AI, humans will remain busier in a superintelligent era, with people raising expectations and creating more work rather than entering reduced-hour lifestyles.
