SoftBank's Masayoshi Son Dismisses AI Bubble Claims on June 24, Plans to Work Until 70s

According to Guru Club, on June 24 at SoftBank's shareholder meeting, CEO Masayoshi Son dismissed claims that artificial intelligence has entered a bubble phase, calling such talk "blasphemous." Son said he has become "greedy" and abandoned his original plan to hand over leadership in his 60s, seeking 10 to 15 more years to pursue artificial super intelligence (ASI). He argued that while people may doubt whether AI is a bubble similar to past skepticism about the internet, the AI revolution is only just beginning, and its potential power will fully unfold from now on.
