According to BlockBeats, Solana Optimistic Network (SOON) completed a security incident review on July 28, confirming no impact to the SOON protocol, sequencer, or user-facing smart contracts. No user fund losses were identified. The incident, first detected on July 12, originated from security misconfigurations in SOON's off-chain operational environment, with unauthorized access granted to an external attacker through improperly configured services. The incident affected only operational infrastructure and internal processes, not on-chain user assets or network security. SOON has restored NFT minting and token claiming functionality as of July 21, and resumed mainnet RPC service and block production on July 27. The network is now operating normally.
