South Korea Cuts Mid-Tier Loan Rate Ceilings for Card, Capital Companies on July 23

According to Yonhap Infomacs, on July 23, South Korea's credit card and capital companies faced tightened conditions as mid-tier loan rate ceilings were lowered. Card companies' ceiling rates fell from 12.33% to 12.26% for the second half of the year, while capital firms' rates dropped from 15.50% to 14.37%. The financial regulator also delayed additional incentive measures, citing prioritization of household debt control over expanded lending stimulus.
