Tesla Maintains 11,509 BTC Position in Q2, Records $112M Unrealized Loss

According to CoinDesk, Tesla maintained its 11,509 Bitcoin holdings in the second quarter, extending nearly four years without buying or selling BTC. The company recorded a $112 million post-tax unrealized loss on its digital assets as Bitcoin fell from approximately $83,000 to $58,000 during the quarter. Tesla originally purchased $1.5 billion in Bitcoin in early 2021 and sold roughly 75 percent of its position in 2022, holding the remaining 11,509 BTC since then.
