Ukraine Strikes Russian Oil Facilities, 2 Killed; Russia Claims 182 Drones Shot Down on July 28

According to Ukrainian officials and Russia's Defense Ministry, Ukraine conducted strikes on Russian oil facilities and export terminals in the Rostov region on July 28, killing two people and damaging infrastructure in the Yaroslavl and Udmurtia regions. Russian forces claimed to have shot down 182 Ukrainian drones overnight.

Russian President Putin signed a decree increasing the armed forces personnel by 25,000. Ukrainian President Zelensky is scheduled to meet with U.S. Senate members on Tuesday evening and discussions with President Trump regarding the war are planned. Ukraine also announced plans to complete its Freyja missile system prototype by mid-2027.
