Voyager Investors Appeal Dismissal Ruling in Mark Cuban, Dallas Mavericks Case on June 24

According to The Block, on June 24, investors in defunct crypto brokerage Voyager Digital filed an appeal challenging a federal judge's dismissal of their lawsuit against Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks. The appeal targets a December 2022 ruling by U.S. District Judge Roy Altman, who found investors failed to establish sufficient connection to Cuban in Florida. The case, initially filed in 2022, alleges Cuban and other celebrity promoters endorsed unregistered securities before Voyager's collapse. Cuban and the Mavericks remain the only defendants after other accused individuals including NFL star Rob Gronkowski and NBA player Victor Oladipo settled for $2.4 million in 2024.
