Am 2. Juli stieg das Spot-Gold nach Veröffentlichung des US-Arbeitsmarktberichts (Non-Farm Payrolls) um 20:30 Uhr Pekinger Zeit um 2,30 % auf 4.123,21 US-Dollar pro Unze, nachdem es während des größten Teils der Sitzung nahe 4.060 US-Dollar gehandelt wurde, bevor es nach den Daten auf nahe 4.140 US-Dollar anzog. COMEX-Gold-Futures stiegen um 1,22 % auf 4.132,20 US-Dollar pro Unze. Spot-Silber gewann 3,04 % auf 60,9430 US-Dollar pro Unze, wobei COMEX-Silber-Futures um 2,87 % auf 61,340 US-Dollar pro Unze kletterten.
