29 of Top 50 Crypto Exchanges Blocked on Google Play Store in South Korea on July 24

According to Digital Asset's investigation on July 24, 29 of the top 50 overseas crypto exchanges are unable to be newly installed on Google Play Store in South Korea. The blocked exchanges include OKX, Bybit, MEXC, KuCoin, BingX, XT.COM, Gemini, LBank, CoinW, BitMart, Pionex, BTCC, Ourbit, KCEX, Zoomex, CoinEX, OrangeX, FameEX, CoinUp.io, Phemex, WEEX, MGBX, WhiteBIT, Bitrue, BitradeX, Backpack Exchange, CoinChief, BTSE, and Bitmex.

Of the 29 blocked exchanges, 14 were reported by South Korea's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) as unregistered virtual asset service providers, while 15 others—including major exchanges like OKX and Bybit—were blocked by Google despite not being on the FIU's enforcement list, suggesting Google's policy extends beyond regulatory requirements.
