BlackRock Backs CLARITY Act as Senate Extends Crypto Legislation Work Into August

According to Odaily, BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, supports the CLARITY Act. Samara Cohen, managing director and head of global market development at BlackRock, stated the bill is an important step toward building an investor-first digital asset regulatory framework. The U.S. Senate Republican leadership released an updated CLARITY Act text last week, integrating work from the Senate Banking Committee and Agriculture Committee. Senate Majority Leader John Thune indicated legislative work may extend beyond the August recess. Fidelity, Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, and Charles Schwab have also previously expressed support for related legislation.
