Bullish has appointed Thomas Cowan, former head of Galaxy's institutional tokenization business, as its first Head of Tokenization. The move reflects Bullish's strategy to build end-to-end infrastructure for tokenized securities. Cowan brings experience in tokenized equities, stablecoins, and central bank digital currency research from his roles at Galaxy and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. The appointment comes as Bullish advances its tokenization stack, including a $4.2 billion agreement to acquire global transfer agent Equiniti expected to close in January 2027, pending regulatory approvals.
