Egypt Seeks to Mediate US-Iran Crisis, Signals Path to Diplomatic Resolution

The Egyptian government is maintaining daily contact with both parties, Gulf states, Pakistan, and Turkey to encourage the U.S. and Iran to return to terms of a memorandum of understanding signed in mid-June. Atti will meet with Omani diplomats later Thursday to coordinate broader mediation efforts.
