Orange and Morrison Plan $3.4B French Data Center Venture With 400MW Capacity

According to Bloomberg, Orange, France's largest telecom operator, and Morrison, an infrastructure investment manager, plan to create a data center company in France yesterday (July 27). The venture involves a planned 3 billion euros ($3.4 billion) investment. Orange would contribute five data centers across four campuses along with operational expertise, while Morrison would provide investment expertise and equity. The new company would have nearly 10 times the capacity of Orange's current French data center portfolio. The companies expect to sign the deal by the end of 2026 and complete it in the first quarter of 2027.
