Vietnamese Police Seize Over 350 kg Gold, Freeze 8 Properties in ONUS Crypto Case

According to Foresight News citing Vietnam's Youth newspaper, Vietnamese police announced details of the ONUS cryptocurrency exchange fraud case in a recent press conference. The Public Security Department's Investigation Security Bureau (A09) stated that authorities have seized over 350 kilograms of gold and silver, frozen 8 properties worth 200 billion Vietnamese dong, and suspended over 300 bank accounts used by defendants. On March 23, police charged 8 defendants with property encroachment and money laundering using computer and telecommunications networks. The case involves approximately 5 million user accounts, and authorities are investigating whether social media influencers were complicit in the scheme.
