1. Project Overview

ai.com is an AI agent that officially opened its beta testing on February 9. ai.com targets the consumer market, allowing users to generate a personalized AI Agent by reserving a username. Each agent is equipped with a controlled virtual computer environment capable of tasks such as sending messages, managing emails and schedules, calling third-party applications, and even executing stock trades. Compared to traditional AI products centered on conversational interaction, ai.com emphasizes AI’s executability, upgrading from information generation to actual operation. In terms of product capabilities, ai.com benchmarks open-source intelligent agent frameworks like OpenClaw and emphasizes enhancing usability and security through permission isolation and controlled execution environments, reducing the barrier to using agent frameworks and making them more aligned with everyday user scenarios.

The establishment of ai.com is closely related to its domain’s entry attributes. In April 2025, Crypto.com co-founder and CEO Kris Marszalek acquired the domain ai.com for approximately $70 million (paid entirely in cryptocurrency). This is reportedly the largest publicly disclosed domain transaction to date. As the most expensive domain in history, ai.com has been used multiple times as a redirect entry point during AI waves, directing traffic to mainstream AI product websites like ChatGPT and Google Gemini. However, it has not historically formed a stable, ongoing business model. The recent transfer and binding of ai.com to specific AI agent products signify that ai.com is no longer just a traffic entry point but is evolving into an AI platform with clear product form and commercial potential.

2. Team Background

ai.com is led by Kris Marszalek, co-founder of Crypto.com, focusing on building and deploying AI products at the application layer for users. Marszalek has extensive experience in crypto finance and large-scale consumer product operations, having successfully built Crypto.com and rapidly establishing brand recognition through high-intensity, high-visibility marketing strategies.

This methodology continues with ai.com. After acquiring the scarce traffic entry point via the high-priced purchase of ai.com, the team further chose to run a 30-second ad during the 2026 Super Bowl, leveraging top-tier event exposure to attract significant traffic. The peak traffic caused the website to temporarily crash, reflecting both market attention and dissemination strength, but also exposing room for improvement in initial user capacity and system stability.

Overall, these actions are not isolated marketing tactics but part of a systematic layout centered on entry point amplification, awareness building, and product cold start. This also demonstrates Marszalek’s skill in using event-level exposure to gain user attention and time windows for new product forms.

3. Main Advantages of ai.com

Autonomous Executing AI Agents: ai.com’s core product is personal AI agents, each capable of independently completing real-world tasks within set objectives. During operation, agents break down steps, record states, and continuously execute to accomplish tasks such as managing emails, scheduling, file handling, and browser operations. It emphasizes AI’s autonomous execution ability during task completion, not just information generation or decision support.

Isolated Independent Execution Environment: Architecturally, ai.com provides each AI agent with a relatively independent execution environment, with data access and operational permissions isolated and controlled. Data and execution processes are separated among different users and agents, with clear boundaries on accessible data and permissible actions. This design helps introduce automation capabilities while reducing risks like data crossover, misoperations, and privacy leaks.

Inter-Agent Collaboration and Optimization Mechanism: ai.com further proposes sharing execution experiences and improvement results among multiple agents. Feedback and models generated during task completion can be aggregated to continuously enhance the overall system capability.

4. How to Participate in ai.com Testing

Step 1: Visit the official website and register an account. Users can access ai.com directly via browser, with registration or username reservation options on the homepage. The system prompts users to input their desired username, which will serve as the identifier for their personal AI Agent, completing the basic account creation. Note that some subscription information on ai.com currently requires binding a credit card to view; cryptocurrency payment is not supported yet. This payment method differs from some user expectations and has sparked some community debate.

Step 2: Reserve and activate the AI Agent. After registration, users submit an application, and the system generates a dedicated AI Agent for them. Once created, users can interact with it via natural language on the platform, testing its capabilities in task execution, information processing, and application calling. Since the platform is still in testing, agent creation and some features may involve queuing or usage restrictions.

On February 10, Kris Marszalek stated that a full version of the product would be launched for registered users within 48 hours. This has led to further speculation that soon ai.com may integrate more with Web3 products and release related tokens. Although ai.com currently does not support crypto payments, once the product is fully operational, integrating with crypto payment technologies like X402 could enable more autonomous AI Agents, aligning with its consumer-oriented application focus. This development path would make ai.com’s product more complete, truly realizing autonomous AI, and bringing crypto closer to everyday life.

5. Related Popular AI Tokens

Meanwhile, with the rise of ai.com and open-source frameworks like OpenClaw, AI-related tokens have become market hotspots. Below, CoinW Research Institute introduces some of the recent popular AI tokens.

$CLAWNCH: $CLAWNCH is a native launchpad designed specifically for AI Agents, supporting autonomous interaction, token issuance, and trading. To date, the platform has launched over 20,000 tokens, with a total trading volume of $179 million, and AI Agents have earned $1.79 million in fees. Additionally, 433.6 million $CLAWNCH tokens have been burned. Its core value lies in providing high-frequency, automated issuance and liquidity infrastructure for AI-native assets. Its current market cap is approximately $10.7 million.

$MOLT: An AI-native social proxy based on the OpenClaw ecosystem, with its core product Moltbook, a robot social platform where only AI speaks and humans observe. Led by developer Matt, it has received backing from prominent figures like Naval, Silicon Valley’s “godfather.” Its peak market cap exceeded $100 million, but due to overall market conditions and lack of clear commercialization and token value mechanisms, it has fallen back to around $8.2 million.

$CLAWD: An on-chain AI proxy created by Austin Griffith, a well-known developer from the Ethereum Foundation, with tokens issued by the community. Holders can indirectly participate in on-chain AI activities and earnings. The project has developed a relatively complete application system, including staking platforms, games, and attribution dashboards, with ongoing development. Its peak market cap was about $50 million, currently around $7.1 million.

6. Competitive Landscape

In terms of market positioning, ai.com focuses on consumer-grade AI entry points. As generative AI products accelerate into mainstream awareness, initial user perceptions are often less about technical details and more about brand recognition, entry method, and overall user experience. Similar to ai.com, such simple, universal, and highly recognizable domains have advantages in dissemination and recognition at this stage, mainly reducing user understanding costs and access barriers.

However, in actual implementation, ai.com is still in the product validation phase. Its launch day experienced brief downtime, impacting early user experience; and its payment options currently only support credit cards, not crypto, which may diverge from some user expectations. For consumer AI products, the entry point’s attention often precedes actual product capability, and whether it can convert to sustained use depends ultimately on system stability, experience, and feature delivery. Based on current conditions, ai.com’s market performance remains to be further observed.
