CME's 24/7 Gold Futures See Strong Demand in First Weekend, Nearly 15,000 Contracts Traded

According to CME Group, its 24/7 gold futures contract saw nearly 15,000 contracts traded with a notional value of $60 million during its first weekend launch. Despite lower volatility, market demand exceeded expectations with ample liquidity. The participant base remained consistent with CME's existing one-ounce gold customer base, with demand continuing to be driven primarily by retail investors.
