ข่าวจาก PANews เมื่อวันที่ 2 มีนาคม รายงานโดย CoinDesk ว่า Qivalis ซึ่งก่อตั้งโดยธนาคารในสหภาพยุโรปจำนวน 12 แห่ง รวมถึง ING, UniCredit, BNP Paribas, CaixaBank, BBVA กำลังเจรจากับแพลตฟอร์มการซื้อขายคริปโต, ผู้ให้บริการตลาดและสภาพคล่องหลายราย เพื่อวางแผนเปิดตัว stablecoin ที่ผูกกับยูโรซึ่งเป็นไปตามกฎระเบียบ MiCA ในช่วงครึ่งหลังของปีนี้ และจะเปิดตัวบนแพลตฟอร์มที่ได้รับการควบคุมโดยมีสภาพคล่องเพียงพอในทันที Qivalis ระบุว่า stablecoin นี้จะมีการสำรองเงินเท่ากับ 1:1 โดยใช้เงินฝากของธนาคารอย่างน้อย 40% และส่วนที่เหลือเป็นพันธบัตรรัฐบาลคุณภาพสูงและมีอายุสั้นในเขตยูโรโซน ซึ่งดูแลโดยองค์กรจัดการระดับสูงหลายแห่ง และรองรับการไถ่ถอนตลอด 24 ชั่วโมง ปัจจุบันโครงการกำลังยื่นขออนุญาตภายใต้กรอบงาน MiCA กับธนาคารกลางเนเธอร์แลนด์ โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อให้บริการ stablecoin ดอลลาร์สหรัฐที่ได้รับการควบคุมเป็นทางเลือกและเครื่องมือชำระเงินข้ามพรมแดนแบบเรียลไทม์สำหรับภาคธุรกิจในยูโรโซน
